Teaching “down” properly takes some finesse!
My goal is to set your dog up for long-term ortheopedic success. An ideal down is a folding down where your dog first lowers their chest/shoulders, then the rest of their body folds like a folding table. Anytime your dog starts to “sit,” toss a treat away, and regroup! You really want to get that nice front-end-first “down” from the beginning for the long-term health of your dog.
